The Christmas Season in
Majuro
begins late October and ends around February.
The town hums with activity. Choirs learn intricate songs. Jepta's (special groups) learn
traditional dances with modern
interpretation. Women's groups sew hundreds of uniforms. On Christmas Day, all gather at their
churches for a day-long
celebration. Jepta's of all ages tour the different churches, singing, dancing, and throwing
candy. The festivity continues with caroling house to house through the New Year. << | >>
