The first time I landed on Majuro, I truly believed we would land in the water. Many
flights
later, I came to
appreciate the special gift of this small piece of land, dear to the riMajol. Cradled
between a beautiful calm
turquoise
lagoon on one hand, and the noisy, white-capped ocean waves on the other, is this narrow
rim of earth.
After WWII, some islets of atoll were joined together to form one 30-mile road. High tide
waters sometimes overflow the road. << | >>
