School 1974
Teaching in the Marshall Islands draws upon one's most creative talents and resourcefulness.
For most subjects,
only the teacher has a textbook. Students write reams of notes copied from the board; that is,
if
and when they have
pencils and paper. I run study guides off a cranky mimeograph. For English, I use a combination
of SPC TESOL materials from a local seminar. My most
challenging subject: Micronesian History!! << | >>
