February 1974

My hair dryer, electric curlers, and iron are still packed away. It's ala "natural" for me, now. Wash my hair outside with rain water. The water runs off the gutters of the tin roof into barrels and the cistern. Since it is dry season, we use fresh water sparingly. At school, there is a hand-pumped cistern for drinking and a well for everything else. << | >>
