February 1974
My hair dryer, electric curlers, and
iron are still packed away. It's ala
"natural" for me, now. Wash my hair outside
with rain water. The water runs off the
gutters of the tin roof into barrels and the cistern. Since it is
dry season, we use fresh water sparingly. At school,
there is a hand-pumped cistern for drinking and a well for everything else.
