Marshall Islands Makes Move for Legal Adoptions

The Central Adoption Authority in the Marshall Islands plans for its first legal overseas adoption to take place by July. According to CAA's Michael Jenkins, the first one deemed to be legitimate is children in need of international placement. "It’ll be a feel good adoption with a family who can’t take care of their responsibility, being matched up with a couple with resources," reports
Radio New Zealand.

"The sooner these unsavory and illegal practices are stopped the less likelihood that there will be problems for Marshallese entering the United States," said Robert Muller.
