President Kessai Note is facing a vote of no confidence. It's the first of his year-old administration, and only the second in the 22-year history of constitutional government in Marshall Islands.

Bikini Day 2002, the Bikinians' 56th year of exile, was special because it marked the first visit to Kili for a Bikini Day by Kessai Note after becoming President of the Marshall Islands.

Marshall Islands President Kessai Note called island cultural a "safety net for society" which plays a major role in protecting the fragile environment and Pacific way of life.

President Kessai Note was formally sworn in at the Nitijela Monday,promised the Marshall Islands that his government will be "credible and accountable" to the people.
